]]> Last week I met the wonderful Dietland Wagner behind Dede Puppets. I was paying a friendly visit to our printer, and she rocked in simultameously with the wonderful, wacky, and fabulous puppets she’d made, while coming to pick up her printed invites to her book launch.

“You wrote a book?” I eagerly asked!

“You made these puppets?” I asked again! — totally awe struck by the creativity and recycling and how these puppets were made Made entirely from recycled magazines.

 

She mentioned it all kinda happened by accident; the puppets being made, then writing a book, a lot of media attention back in her homeland of Germany… “They took over my life!”

The book is about social networking and her personal take on it all, apparently there’s a lot of in-between-the-lines reading to look for (awesome!) This whole thing has captivated me! From the recycled puppets, to the book, then I found her blog, and then to find out it’s all about social networking?! I have no idea what this really is, but I love it enough that I’ll be heading along to the book launch and puppet show.

And you should come along too — hear more about these wonderful creations, meet the person behind them, and enjoy a good old-fashioned puppet show at the upcoming book launch.
